Disable startup programs on windows 7:-

  1. Press Win + R on your keyboard to open the Run box.
  2. In Run, type in Misconfig and click OK.
  3. Go to the Startup tab to find all the programs that start with Windows startup.
  4. Uncheck the programs you want to stop running at startup.
  5. Click on Apply then OK to save the changes.
  6. Windows will ask you to do a Restart to apply the changes.

Disable startup programs on windows 8/10:-


  1. Right click on the Taskbar and select Task Manager.
  2. Go to the Start-up tab from the top.
  3. Right-click on any program that you want to disable and select Disable.
  4. You can also press the Disable button from the bottom after selecting the program.

What programs should I disable:-

In fact, there is no problem if you stop all programs, but there are some programs that you will not be able to prevent, such as anti-virus programs or Antivirus, but in Windows 10 the Task Manager shows you which programs may cause slow down your computer, you will find in the Start-up impact box Next to the programs that slow down the startup, the word Hight, Medium, Low, and these elements express what the program consumes from the capabilities of the device such as RAM and the processor at startup.
